My great-aunties have given everyone in my family a nickname, except for me. Since I could talk, I instead told them "No, Noor is Noor." So, how do I define myself?
I design with precision, creating qualitative prototypes and designs. When a prototype looks like a high-quality object, I can get the potential of a concept across better. This allows me to explain a concept to team members and partners well.
I create ideas. I enjoy ideation and this starting phase of the projects is one of my strengths. I get reminded of something that I saw or did before, and when I combine it with the design brief, a new idea emerges. I like to incorporate wordplay and metaphors in my designs, as a way to incorporate humor and to create something recognizable.
When designing, I value being able to make whatever I ideate. Therefore, I focused on learning a variety of production methods and skills. For example, I enjoy coding and working with electronics, to create functional interactions and I like working with production machinery, such as CNC engraving, to create precise parts.
